Roland serves as Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection on the US House Committee on Homeland Security, where he leads an oversight portfolio spanning cybersecurity, critical infrastructure resilience, artificial intelligence, and federal cyber regulatory harmonization. Prior to his current role, he served as a Senior Professional Staff Member on the Subcommittees on Counterterrorism and Intelligence and Transportation and Maritime Security. Before joining the House, he spent five years on the US Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Roland also serves as Co-Founder and Director of Industry Engagement for the Congressional Staff Association on Artificial Intelligence.
